– Membership Terms and Conditions

Membership is granted upon completion of the relevant application form and payment of the membership fee as stated on the application page for your membership type. Private students without fixed membership are also required to accept the T&C.
Memberships are rolling; a minimum notice of 40 days is required to cancel (see Cancellation below).
By submitting your application, you confirm you have read and agree to these terms and conditions.

Membership fees are payable as detailed on the application form. Non-payment of fees may result in the account being sent to a debt collection agency and/or suspension of membership.
Any extra seminars or personal training may incur additional charges, which may be reduced for current members.

Membership is a continuous rolling contract. To cancel, you must submit your request via the official web link: https://missinglinkmartialarts.org/leave.
Cancellations require a minimum notice period of 40 days prior to your next renewal date, meaning at least one additional monthly payment will be due after your request.

Members agree to uphold the standards of the dojo, including:
- Acting respectfully and kindly toward others.
- Refraining from aggressive or unsafe conduct on or off the premises.
- Practicing good personal hygiene (clean attire, nails, personal care).
- Recognizing that martial arts involve contact and carry inherent risk of minor injuries. Training is at your own risk.
- Valuables and belongings are your responsibility; the dojo is not liable for lost or stolen items.
Persistent breaches of the dojo code, bullying, or behaviour posing risk to others may result in temporary or permanent suspension without refund.

Personal data will be handled in accordance with our privacy policy, including for membership administration, safeguarding, and (when opted-in) marketing purposes.
You have the right to review, correct, or request the deletion of your personal data at any time.

Photographs and videos may be taken during lessons and events for promotional use on the website, social media, and advertising materials, in accordance with our Data Protection Statement.
Should you not wish for your image or that of your child(ren) to be published, you must notify the office in writing at community@missinglinkmartialarts.org prior to your first session, or as soon as possible.

Our full safeguarding policy is available upon request. Key points include:
- All instructors and staff adhere to a zero-tolerance policy for bullying and abuse.
- Children under 16 must be accompanied to/from events by a parent or responsible adult unless otherwise agreed with written consent.
- Strict procedures exist for the reporting and handling of any concerns, incidents, or allegations.
- Any concerns related to conduct or abuse must be reported immediately to our Safeguarding Lead (contact details available on request).
Any behaviour placing others at risk may result in cancellation of membership, with the right of appeal as outlined in our safeguarding policy.

You are responsible for ensuring you are fit to participate in martial arts activities and should consult your GP if unsure.
You acknowledge that martial arts is a physical activity with inherent risks of injury.
You confirm that you are (or the child you are enrolling is) in good physical health and medically fit to participate. You agree to inform your instructor of any pre-existing medical conditions, injuries, or severe allergies.

You agree to participate at your own risk and release the Company, its instructors, and representatives from any liability for injuries sustained during training, except where caused by gross negligence.
